Thrust Restraint/Underside Kickers

EZ Valve does not cut pipes in half. EZ Valve creates a slot 120 degrees across β€œtop” of pipe. EZ Valve will allow the pipe to push out of the previous joint if the pipe is cut; and therefore, the thrust restraint is removed. Multiple examples of thrust restraint are given. These examples are only examples and need to be approved by every governing body/owner and/or their engineers.

- Underside Kicker - Use plastic to wrap EZ Valve & pipe so concrete does not come in direct contact with pipe and/ or EZ Valve. Form up kicker to go halfway up pipe and EZ Valve casting. Do not allow concrete to go any higher than the bottom half of EZ Valve casting.

- Rodding or all thread back to previous joint on approved anchor point using Friction Clamps.

- Install EZ Valve Insertion or Temporary Line Stop with 20 Feet of undisturbed area between Installation location and location pipe is to be cut.
